Grow A Fig Tree

Author - A Gardener

When I bought a fig tree at my local nursery I didn't know yet that the soil where I intended to grow the fig tree was not suitable to grow a fig tree.

With a little online research I learned that the fig tree variety I had purchased could be grown satisfactorily in containers as small as 14 inches. With that in mind I began shopping for a container that would look nice on my patio and would be suitable for growing a fig tree. The container I chose is 17 inches tall and has an inside diameter of 17 inches. Its color complements the colors of my patio, yard and house.

My fig tree grows very well in its container, and is loaded with figs. I would never have thought on my own to grow a fig tree in a container.
